The drive through Oklahoma and Arkansas was not really spectacular. But I visited the Route 66 Museum in Elk City had a stop in El Reno and drove into Oklahoma City which was a mistake because Oklahoma City is huge and it is not really fun to drive into. Fortunately I found a Campsite a little bit outside the City.
Then I read about an Amish settlement just a “few hundred miles“ away in Chouteau and thought that would be a cool idea to visit this place. But in reality this settlement is nothing special and they use also tractor`s. The only good thing about this visit was the Amish grocery store to stock up with really good food.
After that I drove the so called scenic route 10 (not really worth to see) and then over the border to Russellville Arkansas. My plan was to head up as soon as possible to Memphis Tennessee for a longer stop, but that’s another story…
